Our
Mission
To assist all clients with an individualized care plan that is tailor-made to their needs and budget. The aim is to create a care plan that incorporates the seniors’ health, nutrition, finances, home services, and social needs. This is to ensure a successful long-term stay living in their home surrounded by family and community.

For nearly 2 decades, Ingrid has committed herself to serving seniors as the Co-Founder and CEO of Genie Home Services Incorporated, a senior care agency specializing in serving seniors in the Toronto and GTA North region through housekeeping and wellbeing services. As an advocate for seniors, Ingrid has also successfully founded and maintained a senior wellbeing support group and a poetry program dedicated to encouraging seniors to pursue the literary arts as a form of healing.
A seasoned community leader, Ingrid has served on various cultural boards including the Markham Arts Council, Markham African Caribbean Association, Jamaican Canadian Association, Black Women’s Congress, and York Regional School Board for 6 years. Her passion for Black representation dates back to her youth as she often delved in to various written art forms growing up and winning in many competitions showcasing her culture. Ingrid’s love for sharing Black stories has carried on to present day endeavours, bringing her to write “Pioneers of the Caribbean”, a memoir of her mother’s journey to Canada, and “Stories of the Krib”, a collection that illustrates the tales of 5 Afro-Caribbean women.
